A lot of people think about things like the sofa or perhaps even a kitchen table when it comes to the most used pieces of furniture in their home that get a lot of use and abuse. However there are some less appreciated pieces that are doing just as hard of a job and rarely get the appreciation they deserve for their hard work.

Maybe wrought iron is more your style. If wood dominates the room, your choice for end tables can be stained pine, oak or cherry, to name just a few. Often people have a TV guide, pens, remote controls and other items that they set on end tables. All it takes is one incorrect motion of a hand and you're crawling behind the sofa looking for that pen or remote. Instead, look for end tables with lips.
