In contrast to end tables, accent tables don't come in pairs and are more ornate and embellished than your average end table. This allows you to add a little flair and flourish to your room by adding an accent table here or there that is in contrast to the other furnishings. An accent, if you will, to your other décor.

So you just found the perfect chairs for your living room, but you need something to make them feel a part of the room? Well why not try an end table between them. They can be used in various locations, such as in the living room beside a chair or sofa where they offer a guest room to place a glass or give you a place to keep the TV remote. In the bedroom, end tables placed beside your bed offer you viable space to keep your spectacles through the night or to put a lamp within arm's reach.

A lot of people think about things like the sofa or perhaps even a kitchen table when it comes to the most used pieces of furniture in their home that get a lot of use and abuse. However there are some less appreciated pieces that are doing just as hard of a job and rarely get the appreciation they deserve for their hard work.
