One of the great things about accent tables is their standout quality and variety of shapes. Perhaps that's why they have been a staple of homes for so long. You can mix and match them throughout the home and you'll never tire of their beauty and versatility.
For a more rustic look in the yard, nothing beats those made of Northern White Cedar. Over time, the table will weather beautifully, taking on a silvery appearance. Red cedar offers a cleaner, less rustic look. It too will age nicely and the red cedar can take whatever winter throws at it since it is impervious to the elements as well as bugs.
You can find accent tables to fill any spot in your house and since they are so versatile, it is not very hard to find accent tables to fit your needs. Most are easy to match to your existing home décor. Accent tables are also inexpensive, so choosing one, or even a few of them, to dress up your home won't break the bank. Accent tables are available in many sizes and shapes and can be found to match any décor, made of wood, metal, glass or a combination of the three.
Also remember that tables meant to work as an accent feature many not always be entirely functional. This means that the purpose of the table may be to act as a space filler to draw the eye into something interesting rather than allowing your gaze to be swallowed inside an empty and boring room. This type of table can be used as an end table or even a table that goes right in the middle of the room. There are so many different things you can do with this type of table that you will not understand why you didn't think of it before.
Round accent tables also work well on their own. You can use them in your living room, great room or home office to provide additional space to display photos, knickknacks and keepsakes. They are also wonderful for plants, bringing a little of the outdoors into your home.
Part of the reason for this is the selection. But another is the versatility. Unlike other tables that should be used as sets (there are exceptions we'll go into in a moment), accent tables can be the lone wolf in a room. They can be totally different than every other table you have in there, and you can have more than one accent table that doesn't match.
