One of the great things about small accent tables is that though they are small, they aren't wallflowers. They can be very ornate and inviting, commanding a lot of attention, even with their small size.
Every home has it: that blank spot where nothing seems to fit. Too small for a furniture-seating piece, and too large for a plant, there must be something that would be just perfect! The answer is accent tables. One is ideal for any room in the house, and for any spot in any room.
Accent tables can also be bought as single units to create a diverting look; or in a set for an integrated appearance. There is an accent table to suit any kind of décor, taste and budget and its use is only limited by your imagination!
Accent tables for any décor come in many styles. You can get tables that have intricate inlays or have ornate carvings and embellishments. They can have drawers where you can put some of your collectibles so they show through the glass top or they can reflect your individual tastes and interests, such as have a wine or nautical theme. Or they can add a bit of exotic flair to the room, harkening back to the days of the British West Indies or old Bombay. There are accent tables for any décor imaginable, from very formal pieces to modern tables that are minimalist in form but big on function.
If space is at a premium but you still need table space for entertaining, consider purchasing nesting tables or stacking tables. These will store nicely out of the way (they're basically a table within a table within a table) until you need them for a dinner party or during the holidays, when there always seems to be more food than space. They're great for storing the holiday pies until dinner is through and it's time for dessert.
For instance, some end tables just don't scale well in a room, especially when you have a large sectional that dominates the landscape. Smaller accent tables can fill the bill perfectly, as you can get one that is thinner but no less useful.
